OOC Insults are Unhealthy for the Community
You are REQUIRED to be cordial to people when out of character. We are a community of people Role Playing (PRETENDING). If you are unable to separate the RP from real life, then you need to take a moment and cool down before you type something childish and irresponsible. WE DO NOT APPRECIATE IT WHEN PEOPLE DISRESPECT OUR COMMUNITY BY INSULTING OUR MEMBERS.
Clarification of OOC Insults
Speaking OOC or Out Of Character, is when you speak with your real life feelings or thoughts, not the pretend character you are playing in NoR. Many times this is portrayed by either putting your words in brackets (( )) or using /9ooc. Many players also feel that anything said in an IM is also OOC. It is also possible for someone to abuse this and go in and out of (( )) trying to "beat" the system, context will be used in these situations.
When a negative or derogatory statement is made in one of these venues,
we call that an OOC insult. The statement will be viewed, in context, by
an Admin. After reviewing the situation an Admin may dock or ban a
particular player for this type of harassment.
Example of an OOC insult:
[19:12] Player A reaches down to take guns and all weapons from Player B's body while glaring into her eyes
[19:12] Player B glares back as she tries to keep a weapon away from the stupid angel...
[19:13] Player B spits in the angel's face.
[19:13] Player A begins to search the body for hidden weapons knowing she must be careful
[19:14] Player A wipes the spit from her face placing a gag in the captured mouth "you will not be doing that again"
[19:14] Player B laughs.. "You can't stop me you weakling."
[19:15] Player B: ((man you suck at rp))
[19:15] Player A grabs the chains near her and begins to tie the ankles and wrists tightly behind Player B's back "you won't be getting away now, so I suggest you stay still so you don't hurt yourself"
[19:16] Player A: (I am doing the best I can.. please let's just play this scene out OK hun?)
[19:16] Player B breaks the chains with her mighty strength! (you corpse camped me too.. I'm done!)
