Ok everyone...since I have been in NoR, when I see the majority of defeat rps in world...mainly all you ever see for rp for the defeated females is something that goes along the lines of a RAPE RP...come on...can you not expand your mind a bit and come up with something creative. Anyone and everyone can do a rape rp...this is due to the fact that so many does it. Come up with something unique to do with an rp, and go with that...don't just do the same boring old RAPE RP. All who is in favor, please add your thoughts, suggestions, or otherwise in this thread.

My thoughts on that are pretty simple. If the women out there would have the decency of emoting being defeated, maybe they wouldn't be raped.
If the men out there would have the decency of not bragging/whinning as loud as possible when they are defeated, we wouldn't have to shoot a bullet in their head.
RP being invulnerable, you'll get either the extreme, or you'll be ignored. That brings us back to countless threads in this forum.
Personally, I don't rape. I don't have what it takes in the pants. But a good curse teaches plenty. Tourette syndrom anyone ?

Well, Core...I don't do Rape RP myself either...even tho I easily could...I choose a higher path...my rp consists of my character being a Magical Biologist...within NoR...I am the only one of my kind...perhaps others can learn to expand their rps beyond just rape in time...I would like to see this happen...and yes I know that many don't wanna rp pointblank, but still if we keep pushing for it to happen...maybe it will in time...besides I came across something from one of my friends that brings this to curiosity within NoR...in the rules of LL apparently RAPE is not allowed in SL...how does this apply to NoR if RAPE isn't allowed in SL?

I have to agree Core,,, im not sure if doing a defeated rp however will stop some like ashen and the others from raping,, i think its the only way they can get it lmao,,,,, or the simple fact is there stuck in a rut. They can't get beyond what they found to be good,, hence They not the rest of us. I have RP'd Defeat,,, RP'd Captures,, RP'd being the victim,,,, really the only thing i wont rp is animals lmao. Ew. But as u said core,,, a good Spell,,, but with those that think there beyond a voodoo touch or a witches spell, what then,,, or they god mod being a demon they dont feal pain,, sighs,,,, or there demonic powers out reach the spells of others when its the voodoo and Witchcraft that conjours them,,, or cast them back,,, its hard to find a medium i am seing more of it,,, or u simply have to abide in there lead of the rp in order for it to be good or justified. People have to remember,, its a melding pot of personalities in NoR. All immaginations wrapped up into one ,,,,, we shouldnt stifle ourselfs limiting to one type of rp,, lets break free from this box and roame the unatural wrelm of our imaginations,, stretch it as far as we can take it then push ourselves to go even further.

Id love to do some more and different rp's with people, but:
- Unfortunatly almost anyone I capture of a major faction has a ehm... army ready and waiting to rescue my captive.
- Or drops me a list of (legal and/or illegal) limits which tells me the person is not at the rp or IC/OOC comfort level needed for what I do.
- Or Godmods (read revive, drop one line and jump out/away) itself free once it gets tricky.
- Or cures my carefully thought out rp of a few hours in a rp of 5 minutes.
- Or doesnt respond properly/seriously to the rp imput...
The list is longer... And though I can point fingers to who do what.. you decide if you or your faction does these things. You want more and better rp? Match or aim for the standards and the expectations of the better roleplayer and dont "stick to" the standards of the common combat junky. Oh... and I'm a discriminating asshole. If I dont like your factions style/behaviour.. dont expect high level rp from me... 9 out of 10 its not worth it...

Neo it is RP not actual rape and is in effect consensual~ people don't have to have it happen to them. It is an IC action not an OOC action which is what a few people have problems getting their heads round and this causes so much OOC conflict and insult. It does not just happen in NoR either~virtually all RP sims have it

Well, how about ya start to set the trend of taking a higher road within the rp...set the example and don't be quick to run to a rape rp...if many begin to do this...then it would start a trend...every good change starts out small, and grows to something big

i Hear that Biz,, i however try to give good rp,, there has been a few instinces where i felt drained and gave less then minimal out of sheer boredom and that was me on the captive side of the stick. There has been times when i have those captured i let them go out of sheer boredom. There has to be a medium,, a balance found,, if one wants others to give rp then we should give it back,, i admit,, i have fallen short out of frustrations in the past. And lately im getting to the point with particular factions where im like,, leave em,, dont waiste ur time or energy its just not worth it,,, or simply they whine thru the whole proceedure oocly,.. They want u to give but when its there's they cry there out numbered bla bla,,,, when they come at u with 20 or more and only have 5 of u. Cracks me up. You once told me Biz and i will never forget it and Core as well.. if u want good rp u got to give it. Sighs I DID IT,,, DAMM IT WHERES MY COOKIE!,,,, fixes hair and nestles back into my chair..... I find myself at the point lately is it really worth the effort to put out money for a good theme for role play if its not to be respected,,,, or simply godmodded thru the whole senerio. No wonder they all do rape rp,,, its the only thing u cant godmod thru!

I understand that Sable...it is funny how many want to godmod through the rps...it is sad really when every precaution has been put into place...but sadly more instances come up...with this in thought...is why I keep expanding my rp to counter act such said godmods...to allow for rp other than just rape to go on

Excuse me less of the "my road is higher"attitude Neo! No form of RP is higher or lower than another yes some forms may be more common place but that do not make all RP's of that type of a lesser significance. Also, you are obviously totally unaware of the variety of RP's I do.

Hey don't get me wrong Neo,,,, i have raped 2 in my NoR life and im talking lagitamit rape not just ramming a gun up ones ass and walking away,,, im talking vengance on the two men that raped one of my own and myself. Blinks so,,,, and i have to say,,,, oh what a relief it was,, and um's they havent raped me since hahaha. Turnt those tables i guess lesson learnt. I dont mind doin the rp,, Like Bel has stated its just rp. But lets get beyond the box of things,,, there is so much more,, mind control, torture,, i mean good out rite torture,, Indy once fed my face to rats,, that was friggin unique. He used his imagination not copying from others and i loved doin the rp,, i laughed my ass off thru the whole thing. Another fun rp was when Kain and Syd had me in hell. No rape but it stretched my imagination to the extreme. This is what we most of us in NoR seek,,not just rape,, even though its a part of the Dark Role play and some do fantasize about it. That is there decision. For me,, rping a broken dooby while in defeat and crying as tears stream down my face cause someone broke it,,, its a def ice breaker. lmao.....

I was not saying anyone rp was better than another Bel...I was refering to the blatant RAPE RP...yes I am aware that you do many varieties of RP, I have read a few of them on the forums...what I am getting at is about the rape rps...its been done so many times over...how about everyone just move beyond it. I know you and Ashen have an incest rp...that is original...sick and twisted but original I give you that...nothing wrong with it...the fact of the matter is that it is something different than that of just a rape rp...and that is what the purpose of this thread is for...to have people move on from just the rape rp
Rape RP can be done in many different ways and should be part of NoR. Consider the environment. Consider the characters. I only hope it's RPd well if someone attempts it!
I do agree it'd be nice to see varied RP in NoR and more of it, but I can't agree that the only RP going on in NoR revolves around rape. I went more than a year in NoR before being faced by an RP rape scenario. I think it's a bit harsh to insinuate, also, that people who RP rape are taking a "low road" in their RP. And why do we need to stop people from being IC rapists? I don't understand.

frankly, complaints about defeat rp leave me cold
rp doesn't begin or end with defeat
taking the attitude of "ok i attacked you randomly and you kicked my ass ..let's rp" is blatantly ridiculous
if there is no basis for interaction and no history of communication
then that's where you have to start to build a friendly or adversarial relationship
given time opportunity and inclination i use the time hanging out with defeated people to get to know them and their motivations
and as the common understanding grows, future interactions become richer and more specific
you don't get to moan and spit blood and expect me to compose war and peace in your honor

ROFLMFAO Biz that is funny...I give you that...I am sure it would...but you don't go around doing the rape rp daily...to the same person...there are many in NoR that this is all their rp consists of...is there a way to limit the amount of rape rp's happening in NoR...like expansion of rps beyond only doing rape rps?

Actually my RP revolves around being a demon and having a total lack of morality IC and also encouraging people to committ sin~ so I do whatever fits in with that and yes that does include rape ~ mainly because that is what people want from the scene and often ask for it to be directed that way!

Wow that nearly sounded a bit off insulting if you ask me. Why doint you let them their fun. If you want other roleplay go out and start something.
That to be mentioned, I always get a lot of roleplay, and that mainly isnt raperoleplay, i accutally havnt noticed that this is a problem in nor, i never steped over it. If at all there is a problem that people dont roleplay at all, So if all the combat junkies out there would rape each of their victims they beat in battle , i would be more than happy for the start
And yes same as kay, even my character got raped, it only happend 3 times and it took over one year in Nor before i steped iinto such a scene. And i got ALOT of roleplay before that, even with "people like Ashen" how you called them^^

HaHa I can only imagine Biz,,,, and yes,, i do believe and agree with Kay that rape is a part of NoR and dark role play,, its dark and can be done well. I think what Neo is getting at is the repetition of the scene. We can't direct what roleplay happens,,,we are all in SL and NoR to live out our dark role play fantasies. No one is better then the other in this game. Like i said,, i'll rp anything but animals,, u bring an animal into the seen,, um's poof,, im outie lmao. Thankfully hasn't happend. When that kind of rp happens after a defeat,,, im more or less ok u got me lemme see what u got. And i try to focus how i would be in rl into the rp itself. I went like kay said almost a year without it actually happening,,, not saying there wasn't attempts. But Ashen was the first one to catch Sable. And i admit it was a challenge to rp it. Being it never done before. I think some take it more serious then others in ooc and ic. IC,, u rape me,, protect ya ass cause ima ramm something up it,,,, whats good for the goose is good for the gander in my opinion. And on that note i see Biz comming ima run like hell. lmao....
